In theory, I should be sleeping right now.
It's 2:20am and I went to bed originally around 12:30am. I took half a benadryl (for my eyes and sinuses) and then finished reading Rachael Ray's 30-Minute Meals 2.
And I waited.
And shifted, and turned, waited some more, pet the cat, pet another cat, waited...
Grabbed my lavender-filled eye mask, re-arranged the pillows...
waited...
Gah.
Finally Stinkerbell made her appearance in the bedroom, looking for trouble, so I got up and captured her, put the baby gate up in the hallway and sat down with my laptop (and the skunk) on the couch.
We have a King-sized bed, but sometimes it might as well be a twin.
And yes, I could kick the animals out, but then I feel like a terrible mother.

ha! love the diagram!
At first glance I thought there was a half bald man with a mustache sleeping between you and Scotty. But then I looked closer at your highly detailed drawing and realized it could be a dog...maybe.
If it is a man, how did he get so lucky?

It's Buster... the Boxer. My stick drawing talents are rather limited...
That's a big dog taking the middle of the bed. Maybe he needs a doggie bed.
Hubs and I have a king size all to ourselves. We are still complaining about not having enough room. I think Lucy and Ricky were on to something with seperate beds :-)
It took me a minute or two to realize that was buster in the middle. There where really only two possibilities, well three, but I don't Scotty's down for a midget three-way. So the choices were, the dog or all of the stick figures were you at different times of unrest. Wasn't until I saw the other comments that I confirmed it was the dog. :)
I want to see this diagram laid out for the future (including kids). Or will you have to play favorites?
I think when we have kids we may just have to ban the animals from the room... or at least let the kids pick their spots and the animals can get the leftovers.
Of course this means that ultimately I'll be on the couch by morning.
Isn't that the truth? The only pet I never minded was a cat I loved. He was awesome. Everyone else keeps me awake. Good luck!
Oh, and p.s. sorry for the earlier comment from "A" That would be me. :)
